the big day

today's the big day. we roll out our new home page today. it's been a crazy week. last minute fix here, meeting with support there. of course you have the usual personality dramas too. throw that all together and you get a stress filled week.

my friend alex rolled into town last night. i headed up to the city (sf) to partake in an all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu (japanese hot pot) gorge-fest. i think the eight of us there managed to eat nearly a whole cow between us. at the end of the night we drove up to the top of twin peaks to survey the city. it was the first time i had been up there. it was a beautiful view from up there looking down on all the lights.

i need a hair cut.

it's so cliche

but mondays really do suck. covering for a co-worker who's out of the office sucks.

i'm in a marathon meeting from 10 til 6 and i'm not really sure what i'm doing here. i really don't know this project but since the above mentioned co-worker is feasting on civet cat, i'm supposed to cover. oh well.

it was a mellow weekend. i had the luxury of sleeping in until 1 on sunday. i haven't done that for a long time. sleeping in is good. T and i split a couple of scrabble games. i really need to nail the two-letter scrabble words.

day 2

god i love sillicon valley. whoever invented the "work from home" should be canonized. in my case i guess it's "wfc - work from couch."

did i mention that i'm getting hitched? apparently T has a striking resemblance to the current bachelorette. i'm tempted to tell people to keep watching and that i'll be making an entrance in a later epsiode to steal her away from the big hunks.

the roller coaster on ultimate bet is on its way back down. must .... learn .... to ..... lay ..... it ..... down. sigh.

i get a kick reading other people's blogs so i thought i would try it out. after a few tries i finally got it to work. like anything else the big question will be whether i will keep this up. well see.
